Process Engineer - Manufacturing
Location: Broughton (full time onsite requirement)
Contract Duration: Until 10 November 2026, with potential for extension
Pay Rate: Up to £37.02 per hour (Umbrella) / Up to £27.68 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 35 hours per week
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing engineering team supporting a major aircraft programme. The successful candidate will focus on work preparation to industrialise modifications for aircraft, supporting both mechanical and electrical systems. You'll work as part of a multifunctional team to ensure seamless industrialisation into production.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate design intent into technical instructions and manufacturing engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, test, and certification
Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business requirements
Deliver detailed work preparation definition (routings, BOMs, SOIs, STV calculations) for aircraft production
Ensure all work and documentation meets procedural and regulatory requirements
Project manage manufacturing process improvements, including implementation strategies
Evaluate and enhance manufacturing process capacity, recommending changes to product design as needed
Provide shopfloor support to operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong process-driven background; experience in large manufacturing settings
Knowledge of lean principles and business management tools (ideally SAP)
Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems
Experience in aircraft production and engineering methods
Effective communication and leadership skills; self-motivated
