The Role
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping production running by carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you'll diagnose faults, repair complex manufacturing equipment and help drive improvements that maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
You'll also contribute to equipment upgrades, machine modifications and support the development of apprentices and trainee technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Complete maintenance activities using the company's electronic maintenance management system.
Support equipment improvements and modification projects.
Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maximise equipment performance.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers.
Promote 5S standards and continuous improvement across the department.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment within a production environment.
Ideally you'll have experience with:
Electrical and/or mechanical maintenance
Fault finding on automated production equipment
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Root cause analysis and problem solving
Working with CMMS or maintenance management systems
Continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Experience within semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, food & drink, FMCG, medical device, automotive or other highly automated manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
