FPGA Engineer - Contract

6-Month Contract

Bristol

Help us deliver cutting-edge solutions in Land CEMA.

We're seeking an experienced and driven FPGA Engineer to support in-service programmes within the Land CEMA domain. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing and assessing advanced electronic solutions, working on critical defence projects at the forefront of innovation.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will:

Work alongside delivery teams to support and assess outsourced work packages from suppliers.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver compliant CEMA solutions.
Provide technical assessments of FPGA delivery timescales and associated risks for ongoing CEMA activities.

What we're looking for

An accomplished engineer with a background in CEMA-related FPGA development and a strong technical skill set.

Required Experience:

VHDL / VERILOG and SDR architecture.
CEMA domain expertise: RF telecommunications, waveforms, OSI model, SIGINT, EW.
Agile development methodologies.
Proficiency in C#, C, C++, Python, and database architecture.

Desirable Experience:

XML, JICD, networked systems, RESTful/RPC APIs.
OPEN CPI component/platform development.
Geospatial engines and cloud container technologies (e.g., Docker).
DevOps experience and library-agnostic coding.
