About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a business who have huge ambitions in the UK biogas sector. They are very detail-orientated and require a likeminded Senior Process Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Process Engineering Lead you will:

Be highly detail-orientated and design process for biogas plants at varying stages
Produce detailed pre-FEED and FEED studies, ensuring a right first time approach
Produce various technical documents, including mass balances, process calculations, process flow diagrams, P&IDs as well as heat and energy balances
Prepare technical specifications and advise with engineering decision-making and justification
Take an Owner's Engineer-type position when on-site with the EPC, ensuring install is as per the detailed design
Take the lead during project phase, chairing internal and external engineering reviews where required
Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist subcontractors and internal and external stakeholders, representing the client with the utmost integrity
Compile and collate final documentation, as built drawings and test sheets for O&M manuals
Manage and oversee the production of QA documentation, including FAT documentation and more
Other duties are requiredProfessional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

A degree in a relevant field, ie a relevant engineering of chemical degree
Experience in anaerobic digestion, biomethane/biogas, and/or biomethane injection is essential
Process review experience and experience with HAZOPs, ALMs and DSEAR regulations
Knowledge of CAD and 3D modelling would be advantageous but not essential
UK driving licence Salary and benefits of the Process Engineer role:
