Senior FPGA Engineer - Colchester – up to £65k

Hexwired Recruitment have partnered with a rapidly expanding and fast-paced company based in Colchester, who are currently seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their dedicated team of Firmware engineers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior FPGA Engineer to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary team.

Reporting to the Firmware Engineering Team Leader and working closely with Embedded Software, Electronics and Systems Engineers, the successful Senior FPGA Engineer will be responsible for the full end-to-end FPGA development including writing and developing FPGA code for unique and innovative products , typically using VHDL using Microchip Libero and Xilinx Vivado.

Key Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in industrial FPGA design in VHDL language

  • Experience using Microchip Libero and/or Xilinx Vivado

  • Functional verification experience

  • The ability to generate estimates and define tasks for FPGA product delivery

  • Familiarity with High speed (Gigabit) transceiver interfaces, Image handling and processing, and UVVM test benches is desired but not essential.
