Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer - Colchester - Up to £63,000

A leading electronics engineering company, based on the outskirts of Colchester, is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead complex product development projects, designing, developing, and testing high-performance hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Define product specifications with Product Management
Lead the design of digital, analogue, and RF hardware using Altium Designer
Perform component selection, simulation, and testing
Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
Collaborate with mechanical/software teams for integration
Manage complex product development projects from concept to production
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support

Qualifications:

Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in Altium Designer and PCB layout
Strong knowledge of high-speed signal design, RF, and EMI/EMC considerations
Hands-on experience with debugging tools and lab equipment
Knowledge of FPGA design or microcontroller systems is a plus
