NRL are proud to be recruiting on behalf of AESC for QA Supervisors to join their world-leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England. In this role you will support the development and operation of a world class, innovative, large-scale mass manufacturing plant.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale, net zero industrial developments where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

Job Title: Supervisor

Main Objectives:
The position of QA Supervisor will support current Production & Advanced quality planning in line with AESC UK expansion plans. The QA Supervisor will be responsible for managing AESC UK quality Teams in routine and non-routine activities. The Supervisor will have reporting responsibilities into higher management to ensure the achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets. The QA supervisor will hold a strong position ensuring the company deliver both safe and reliable products whilst maintaining a customer focused mindset.

Outline and Responsibilities:
· Planning and implementing routine and non-routine activities in line with departmental and plant objectives
· Coaching and Development of Quality Team Leaders & Quality Technicians
· Ensuring achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets derived from departmental & company objectives
· Act as Quality Window person for external stakeholders such as Customer/Supplier
· Liaise with technical staff (design, process engineering), manufacturing departments and global customer / suppliers during concern investigation, root cause analysis and countermeasure activities.
· Ensure Utilisation of problem-solving tools & techniques
· Maintaining Quality documents including but not limited to Control Plans, inspection Plans, SOS
· Generate technical and management reports supporting the company’s KPIs
· Manage Daily Events database / activities ensuring robust corrective and permanent actions
· Good working knowledge of IATF16949
· Flexibility to work shift patterns
· Evaluate Training Needs, mentor and Coach staff
· Carry out yearly Appraisals and Objective Setting
· Support Recruitment

 Experience and Qualifications Required:
· Educated to HNC Level in an appropriate technical subject is desirable / or 5 years proven experience managing Teams
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
· Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact-based decisions
· Experience in generating and Interpreting Engineering specifications/standards
· Experience of IATF/TS core tools
· Strong written and verbal communication skills – reporting throughout the business at all levels
· Excellent PC Skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
· Full driving license and ability to travel at short notice (including overseas)
