Project Design Engineer
Location: Redditch
Salary: Circa £40,000+ | Bonus Scheme | 7% Pension | Flexible Working Hours

A new opportunity has become available for a Project Design Engineer to join a well-established and globally operating engineering business. This role is based at a manufacturing site in the Redditch area and offers the chance to work on custom, technically complex projects within a fast-paced production environment. You'll be working as part of a collaborative team, responsible for turning customer specifications into engineered solutions, managing full design cycles from concept to production support.

Project Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Design bespoke mechanical systems using a range of modular components.
Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
Create and maintain project Bills of Materials (BoMs).
Specify ancillary equipment and control systems aligned to technical requirements.
Collaborate closely with production, quality, and sales teams to ensure project success.
Support documentation, testing procedures, and design change management.What We're Looking For:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Project or Process Engineering.
Strong CAD capability (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, AutoCAD).
Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and models.
Familiarity with machined components, fabrication, and rotating equipment.Project Design Engineer Package:

Salary circa £40,000+ depending on experience.
33 days annual leave (option to buy more after probation).
7% employer pension contribution.
