About the role
Nexperia aspires to become a $10b turnover business by 2030. We are now expanding our team of Production Assistants, that play a key role in the production of our high-tech semiconductor products. You will work a night shift pattern of 12-hour shifts with four days in work and four days off with a combined salary and shift allowance of £35,227 + benefits. What our Productions Assistants do
You will become part of a large team crucial in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices in a high-volume, high-tech wafer fabrication area. With full training you will follow written instructions in operating sophisticated equipment in a clean room environment to produce our finished silicon microchips. Nexperia’ s chips are used in everyday products such as mobile phones, home appliances, smart wearables Electric Vehicles and more.

You will:
• Work towards a daily primary task list with the support of your team leader
• Learn a wide range of workflows throughout your specialist area
• Learn how to work with high-tech equipment with tasks including producing a required volume of wafers per hour
• Adhere to production change proposals whilst conforming to all cleanroom working & safety practices
• Complete related documentation and enter transactions on FactoryWorks systems
• Support your colleagues in performing work-related tasks all working towards a shared goal
• Build positive working relationships with various Equipment & Process Engineers on site
What our Production Assistants Need
Full training will be provided for this position however, we are seeking individuals with:
Essential
• Ability to work night shifts from 7pm-7am 4 days on 4 days off
• Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
• Methodical thinking with excellent attention to detail
• Good teamwork ability with a proactive mindset
• Basic computer knowledge
• Excellent time management and attendance
• Ability to work towards targets
• You must have the right to work within the UK
Beneficial
• Prior experience in working within a production or factory setting
• Prior cleanroom experience
• Mechanical or technical experience with machines or tools
• Experience of shift work
