Principal EICA Engineer - Northumbrian Water

Randstad is working with a leading contractor in the water sector as they grow their engineering team as part of a major AMP8 framework. They are looking for a Principal EICA Engineer to join their growing team, working on a diverse programme of water and wastewater projects worth hundreds of millions.

This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile schemes while benefiting from hybrid working, strong career development, and a highly competitive package, including a standout pension, company car/allowance, and private healthcare.

The Role:

Deliver expert-level EICA designs that are cost-effective, buildable, and meet specification requirements.

Ensure designs align with industry standards and best practices.

Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Support the development and improvement of processes and procedures.

Provide estimates and technical support for proposals.

Lead and mentor junior engineers within the team.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

What We're Looking For:

Strong expertise in EICA design, including Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, MCC designs, and Control & Instrumentation specifications.

Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional institution.

A degree or master's in a relevant engineering discipline.

A solid understanding of the key EICA systems used in water and wastewater treatment.

A broad knowledge of water treatment processes, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineering.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Full UK driving licence.
